New 936 Movement Spotlight on: Triple Ex
Since the beginning of the 936 Hip Hop culture "Big" Mark Scott better known as Triple Ex has been in the mix both literally & figuratively. A professional DJ for more than 30 years, Ex has also made a name as music producer & then became a dominating force in commercial & internet radio. Few know more about the music culture in & around our area & his spotlight is one no local music enthusiast can afford to miss.
Q. Who influenced or inspired you?
A. I have had many influential people in my life. As it pertains to music as a DJ in order it was Derrick Brown, Darrell Thomas, DJ Magic Mike, Big Dino and from afar it was a DJ from Huntsville TX. named Quick Mix. These names all together formed what you hear as a DJ/Mixer/Producer.
Q. How long have you been in business/performing?
A. I have been getting paid to DJ for 35 years. House of X Entertainment. Est. 1996.
Q. Where are you from originally?
A. I’m originally from Conroe TX.
Q. What sets your art/business apart from others?
A. To be honest I don’t know, I just do what I do, then I let the world figure it out.
Q. What do you have coming up?
A. What’s next? I’m not sure about that either. My tour guide has all kinds of surprises.
Q. Is your art/business online, brick & mortar or both?

Q. How has the pandemic affected you or your art/business?
A. The pandemic was a curse and a blessing. It halted in studio live recordings but it opened new technology and forced the creative to dig deeper for more.
Q. What has been your biggest obstacle?
A. My biggest obstacle has been me. That’s all I’m going to say about that.

A. Know why You are doing this and be sure you’re ready for what comes with it…
Q. How do you balance your art/business with your family life?
A. I’m fortunate my life has always been surrounded with music and entertainment so it’s natural.
